To kick off our 2025 Fall Season, Studio5 is proud to present the John Moulder Quintet. The extraordinary guitarist John Moulder always shows up with something new and different. This time, he has assembled a stellar band featuring special guest trumpeter Derrick Gardner who has traveled the world playing top-flight jazz—including five years in the Count Basie Orchestra, as well as work in Frank Foster’s Loud Minority Band, Harry Connick Jr.’s Big Band, The Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, and Swiss tenor player Roman Schwaller’s European sextet.
