About this Event
Dance Your Way Back: The LIVE Experience brings the heart of the 'Dance Your Way Back' virtual program into the room — transforming it into a shared, in-person experience.
While we’ll move through throwback tracks that take us ALL the way back in time 10 years ago, the true purpose of this experience is deeper: to dance your way back to yourself.
Just like the virtual journey, this LIVE experience is structured around reflection, intention, and integration — using movement as the entry point for reconnecting with joy, strength, and presence.
Through a three-part dance fitness tribute — where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going — we’ll honor the evolution of Dance Fitness with Holta while grounding the night in the principles of Sweat & Heal today.
The best part? You'll be the first to experience 6 brand-new dance fitness tracks, introduced LIVE and in person for the very first time!
Lastly, with MLK Day the following morning, this gathering is also rooted in the belief that self-care is community care. When we take time to regulate, nourish, and heal ourselves, we’re better equipped to show up for the people and spaces we care about.
All levels are welcome. No dance experience required.

Now — Where We Are
The evolution into more intentional, fitness-driven movement — strength, rhythm, and consistency woven into familiar tracks.
What’s Next — Where We’re Going
All new tracks presenting the future of Sweat & Heal — grounded, powerful, and forward-moving.

Fitness Who is the instructor?
Holta Tegu is a former High School Principal and passionate educator of 15 years who founded two mission-driven companies - SustainED Cnsulting and Sweat & Heal. Having experienced firsthand the negative impact the work had on her own mental health and that of countless others (i.e. doing good work, but at the expense of oneself), she founded "Sweat & Heal" - a wellness space dedicated to empowering busy women to move, nourish and & heal with ease - making wellness accessible, sustainable and so much fun!
Holta's a NASM certified personal trainer and an integrative nutrition health coach who provides both virtual and in-person programming for her community. Virtually, sweat & heal members have access to 650+ workouts, real-time and past challenges (core, full body and legs & glutes), LIVE dance fitness classes, daily nutrition tips and so much more!
Given her background and continued work in education, experiencing firsthand the impact it could have on one's overall health and considering the number of educators leaving the field entirely, she hopes to bridge the gap between her two worlds by targeting educator retention and working to answer the question, "how do we avoid burnout and sustain the good work we're doing?"

Dance Fitness? What's that?
A full class (typically 60 minutes) usually consists of 12-14 uniquely choreographed tracks. The songs were intentionally chosen by the instructor, but you can expect to hear from artists like Beyonce, Burna Boy, Lil Baby, Drake, Meek Mill, Travis Scott and so much more. The dance tracks are super fun, with a handful of them being a little sexyyy! So get ready to twerk a little bit, squat a little bit (or a lot) and most importantly, have fun while burning anywhere from 500 - 1,000 calories. The class is overall medium to high-intensity and targets the full body, with a heavier emphasis on legs and glutes! However, it includes a few cool down tracks and will be followed by a full body stretch for a proper recovery.
