In-Person Class: Mexican Fiesta: Gourmet Tacos & Salsas!(Philadelphia)

This is not your average taco night! From making fresh tortillas with masa (corn flour) to brining juicy and tender chicken, you will learn to make one of the most popular foods of all times, tacos! Completely from scratch! Perfect for a date night or a night out with your friends and family!

Join us for an elevated hands-on taco-making experience where rich tradition meets culinary fun. In this immersive class, you’ll learn to make fresh corn and flour tortillas from scratch—the essential foundation of any great taco. We’ll guide you through the art of preparing vibrant, authentic and zesty pico de gallo and pineapple salsa using fresh, seasonal ingredients. You’ll discover bold and new techniques and flavors that make these Mexican staples shine!

Next, we’ll turn up the flavor with two unforgettable taco fillings: tender chicken al pastor, marinated in a rich, smoky blend of spices and pineapple, and vegetarian Sofrito Lime cumin portobello mushroom, learn to cook with aromatic herbs and bold Latin seasonings. As we cook, taste, and build your own gourmet tacos, you’ll gain not only culinary skills but a deeper appreciation for the vibrant heritage behind every bite. Whether you’re a seasoned home chef or a passionate new beginner, this class promises to be equal parts educational, fun and most of all delicious.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. You will be seated with your booking party. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

Guest requirement

The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Guests with single tickets may be asked to work with another individual or small group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

For parking, the hotel is offering a $10 flat rate for class participants in our valet-only garage. Simply show proof of class registration to the front desk staff to receive the discounted rate. The garage entrance is on 17th Street, just south of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and the hotel lobby is easily accessible from the garage after drop-off.
