Please join us for an evening of beautiful music and dancing with the Mark Vyhlidal Orchestra from Nebraska. This is one of the premier bands from Nebraska and we are very fortunate to be able to have them play for all of our Czech Hall community. Mark grew up playing polka music with an all-star list of Nebraska polka bands, including Ernie Kucera and Al Grebnick. In 1973, he started his own band at the age of 12, and they have been performing ever since! The band includes accordion, trumpet, tuba, keyboards and trombone, and Mark arranges most of the music for the band, which includes a music library of over 400 songs. He additionally has composed many songs that the band plays. Their many honors include being inducted into the Sokol Omaha Polka Hall of Fame and the Nebraska Music Hall of Fame! If you love music, you will definitely enjoy this event!
The band will play from 7:00 to 10:00 pm on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Admission is $10 (but ages 10 and under are free). Czech Hall will have a dinner for separate purchase beginning at 5:30 pm for $15 and includes klobása sandwich, potato salad, beans, dessert, and tea or water (and our regular bar with soft drinks, beer, and wine will be operating as usual).
