Welcome to Dance Tribe KC, a community of loving humans who gather in the ceremony of safe and healing movement!NOTE: Instead of our typical ecstatic dance routine, THIS WEEK ONLY we get the pleasure of welcoming our friend Ves as they lead us on a unique and magical journey of safe touch with others in the container of improvisation! With their guidance and special offerings, we get to gather and learn in new ways that are achievable, and freeing. Come dance this Sunday!

🌈 Vesna Jokić is a dancer, transdisciplinary artist, teacher, researcher, and cultural organizer focused on experimental artistic practices.
She studied contemporary dance and improvisation in Germany and Belgium, and has lived and worked around the world. She is currently based in Colombia, where she teaches movement, creates, and organizes contact improv workshops, jams, and other artistic, cultural and community exchanges. For over ten years, CI has been a part of her movement practice and research, and a rich influence on her movement vocabulary and way of life.
In this introductory session on 2/23, we will tune into our relational selves to connect through sensing, trust, weight sharing, form, playfulness and risk. 🙏
