Honour the memories of loved ones who’ve come before us in a celebration of LIFE this November 1st. Dia de los Muertos, Day Of The Dead or All Saints Day is the time of year we come together to dance, to remember, to celebrate the spirits of those who have passed into the next realm.
It’s about joy, love, amusing memories, and festive times!!
Bring your best sugar skull inspired costumes and flowers to The Downbeat as our skilled selectors spin you into a dance floor cornucopia of ethereal, aural magic!
Our organizers will erect an altar to honour loved ones that are no longer with us so please feel free to bring a token, a keepsake, a photograph or a fond memory to contribute to our “Wall Of The Dead”.
Intention is everything…….
It’s also Andrew Allsgood’s birthday that day so he’ll be weaving an extended set of dancefloor magic for your festive dancing!!

With decades of experience behind the decks, Khan's unique sonic identity draws inspiration from Middle Eastern melodies and a spectrum of House and Bass genres. From the pulsating depths of Deep Dubstep to the infectious grooves of Trance, Progressive, Funky, Deep and Bass House, his sets are a testament to his wide-ranging musical expertise. Yet, it's the intricate infusion of traditional Middle Eastern elements, juxtaposed with the raw machine energy of electronic music, that truly sets him apart. This energetic contrast spins a sound narrative, moving from profound soulfulness to grooves that captivate and compel dancers to surrender entirely to the rhythm.
Inspired by the boundary-pushing sounds of Sasha, John Digweed, and Widdler, Khan has graced prestigious events like Shambhala, Electric Love and Basscoast. He's held residencies with collectives like Beheshto Productions and Area709, showcasing his ability to ignite dance floors with diverse, yet always captivating, soundscapes.

Splan has been playing records since 1998, when he bought his first pair of decks. He plays music for love of it. Music is the medicine of the soul, and healer of all things. He enjoys sharing music that resonates with him, in hopes that you too can find some joy and inspiration from the sound waves as well. After his semi-final showing in The Vancouver Island DJ Competition, Splan is eager to vibrate with you!!

Music Is The Answer!! Coming up through the early rave scenes in Vancouver and the Netherlands, Therapy acquired a transatlantic taste for deep house and techno.
The dutch music scene in the 1990's solidified a lifelong passion for slightly quirky offbeat electronic tracks while also looking for a driving groove that keeps the party going. Playing the 1's and 2's for over 20 years within the safe confines of home, Therapy only recently came out into the public sphere to share an eclectic taste in danceable music.
Honing a craft she deeply respects, loves and aspires to continually learn and grow from, Therapy invites you along for the musical ride.
