The leaves are starting to dance in the wind as they surrender to the invitation to let go. This season is full with a call to turn our attention within, to draw in, to re-turn to centre, to our inner world, to the rich earth and the time of dreaming. The trees are drawing the sap down and storing the richness of the sunshine in their roots and the mycelium. The time of flowers and green is ending and the realm of the ancestors is close. The colours of the Autumn reflect the sun that has been absorbed into bodies over the summer, that will sustain us through the dark. It is a time to take stock, to let go, to honour the passing cycle and the ancestors.
This evening is an invitation to turn attention within - to meet what is ready to be let go and what is being woven into the seeds that have grown from this year's journey. An invitation honour the journeys of the year and surrender the harvest to the Mystery of the time of deep reckoning between now and Solstice. An invitation to lean into the support of the Unseen, of the ones who have come before us, and are in support of our lives.
We will begin with Ceremonial Cacao, who opens our hearts to ourselves and our deeper knowing.
Chakradance invites us into a liminal space of connection to the parts of us that speak through body and imagination. We will spiral in to the Heart - opening to what is ready to surrender in each level of being through movement, imagination and sound. It is an internal journey for the most part, a space for you to be where you are and do what is needed in each moment. We let our bodies take the lead and no one is watching so we can allow movement (or stillness) as it arises from within move out through us. We engage with the archetypal energies of the chakra system through our imaginations - dancing as or with the elements, sound, light and universe - an experience that is akin to a waking dream at times. We often feel woven in, connected and alive in new ways after this journey.
The soundbath is for integration. The geometry that the sounds carry clarifies the patterns that underlie the structure of body and being - leaving a sense of peace and surrender that Samhain calls forth.
There are no requirements or rules - move as much or a little as you feel to - this is space for you to be and be held.
Bring sheepskin/mat/ blankets and other cosy things for the sound bath. Journal if you like to.
I have been facilitating Chakradance for over ten years, and working the energy system for over 20 and qualified in sound for 5. I am fully qualified and insured.
