The American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) invites proposals for its 61st Annual Conference, taking place November 5–8, 2026, in Long Beach, California.
This conference will be held on the traditional land of the Tongva (Gabrielino/Kizh) and Acjachemen (Juaneño) peoples. We acknowledge and honor their enduring relationship to this land and the wisdom carried through generations.
Conference Theme: Tides of Change | Innovations in Dance/Movement Therapy
As dance/movement therapy enters new horizons, we gather at the edge of shifting tides to explore how embodied wisdom meets emerging technologies. This conference invites participants to engage with cutting-edge research on dance/movement, presence, and healing, while critically and creatively reflecting on the role of artificial intelligence and digital innovation in shaping therapeutic practice.
