Dance Medicine Family!

Join us for a day of connection, play and sharing YOUR gifts with the community.

Saturday, March 8th at Cacoon Philly in Germantown.

Come together for a day of movement, music, and magic!

This event is all about connecting with our community, grounding ourselves through dance, sound, and shared experiences, and celebrating the beautiful gifts we each bring to the circle. Hosted at the cozy and vibrant Cacoon Studio, this day is a celebration of connection, creativity, and community spirit.

We will be offering three experiences throughout the day.

1. 9:30-11:30am - 1st dance

2. 1-3pm - 2nd dance

3. 4-6pm - 3rd dance

Warm-Up: Let’s ease into the dance with a 20-minute warm-up to stretch, breathe, and get in tune with our bodies.

Opening Circle: We’ll start with an opening circle at each dance to set intentions, connect with one another, and ground ourselves in the present moment.

Ecstatic Dance Sessions: Let your spirit soar as the music moves you through three dance sessions, each with its own vibe.

Sound Bath: After dancing, we’ll sink into the healing vibrations of a 10-minute sound bath to soothe the body, mind, and soul.

Closing Circle: We’ll wrap up the dances by sharing our hearts, reflections, and gratitude in a closing circle.

Community Hangouts & Potluck: Between dances, come vibe out with us in the hallway by Cacoon Studio for a communal hangout. Bring something to share for the potluck, whether it’s food, music, or love. This is the perfect time to connect, nourish each other, and share good energy.

How to Participate:

Sign up for a Slot to Offer: If you’re feeling called to share your gifts, sign up for a slot as a DJ, sound bather, or warm-up facilitator. A spreadsheet will be sent for you to fill in your details.

Tickets: This is a donation-based event, with tickets ranging from $0 to $20—pay what feels right for you.

Limited Space: We’re keeping the energy intimate, with only 25 spots per dance session, so be sure to sign up early! Please sign up for only one dance slot to ensure we have space for everyone to flow.

No Charge to Hang Out: Feel free to drop by and hang out for free—there’s no charge to just vibe with the community.

Bring Your Gifts: This day is all about sharing and celebrating what we each bring to the circle. Bring instruments, food to share, or any other beautiful gifts that come from your heart.

AFTER PARTY: When the dances are done, we’ll all head out for a casual dinner to continue the connection, laughter, and good vibes.

We can’t wait to move, breathe, and be together in community. Let’s dance, heal, and make memories that will last a lifetime!

We are excited to share our collective Dance Medicine in this amazing community where consent, authentic communication, support & love rest at the foundation & core. In order to keep things safe in these uncertain times we ask that you take the necessary health precautions you feel called to take for yourself and respect the choice of others. (If you have felt sick, had a fever or cough, please do not attend.) Masks are welcome if that is appropriate for you, they will not be enforced.

Dance Medicine Philly is a drug & alcohol free event. We ask that there is no talking on the dance floor and no cameras used during the event. Please respect this as our intention is to offer folks a safe, supportive place to dance, move wiggle and wobble into full self expression.

Some things to consider bringing: Water bottle, yoga mat, something warm to cover with for the sound healing, acoustic instruments such as drums/rattles, fire and flow toys like hula hoops, juggling balls, and poi.

Come whenever you can arrive. If you need to come in late or leave early, this is ok. Kids of all ages are welcome too!!

1. Dance however you wish

2. No talking on the dance floor

3. Respect the space, honor yours and other boundaries

4. No drugs or alcohol

5.No shoes on the dance floor (unless foot protection is necessary)

6.No cameras or recording on the dance floor

Refund Policies:

1. We do not accept refunds, if you cannot make the event for some reason we advise you to sell your ticket on our Dance Medicine Philly Facebook group page!
