Welcome to the fifth annual Dance Medicine Campout !!!

Dance Medicine Philly (DMP) enthusiastically invites YOU to our yearly ecstatic dance festival! This year the event will take place from August 15th-17th at Resica Falls Boy Scout camp in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania. 🌙🤸‍♂️🏕️🔥

The Dance Medicine Campout festival is a beautiful gathering of lovely people who live by dancing, sharing skills and being in communities that prioritize intentionality, attunement and connection. Our extended family of DJ’s, Sound Bath Practitioners and Workshop Teachers are coming together to bring you an unforgettable long weekend festival experience. 🌙🤸‍♂️🏕️🔥

All the precious natural beauty of the Poconos mountains is on display at Resica Falls Boy Scout Camp. The festival’s backdrop is an amazing waterfall, a beautiful swimmable river, and endless acreage of deep forests and fields to explore. This land will be pulsating with energy during our three day festival. Everyone will be moving and grooving throughout the land, going between yoga classes, bonfires, fire spinning, amazing chill-out spaces, healing modalities and so much more. 🌙🤸‍♂️🏕️🔥

~ LOCATION ~

The Dance Medicine Campout will take place at Resica Falls Boy Scout Camp in the Pocono Mountains. Recisa falls is a 500 acre forested camp which we will have to ourselves throughout the weekend. Less than 2 hours from Philly, NYC, Hburg, Allentown, Scranton,NJ and D.C. (<--4hr) there will be new friends from all around the region to enjoy with. 🌎🏕 🏞🔥🪵✨

There are heated sleeping cabins on site and plenty of areas to set up your tent. We will dance both in the open sky and inside a beautiful large hall. There will be options for a full meal plan and plenty of food vendors to purchase nourishing, sustaining foods and drinks. 🌙🤸‍♂️🏕️🔥

Our annual Campout is like a family gathering with beautiful souls you may already know and ones you might not even know you were looking for! It’s the coming together of great minds who seek a life of self expression and connection. We welcome people from everywhere (up here, down there and all the way out there) including any one who is new to ecstatic dance and new to this community. We aim to create an inclusive event with activities that foster authentic, intimate, and real connections. You can come alone for the inner journey, prioritizing connection with self, or choose to mingle and meet your soul family. Maybe you come with a group, and welcome others along for the journey of coming Home. The campout is an immersive experience that encourages you to discover something new about yourself and about how you interact with the world. 🌿🍀🍄🌕💥🌈

Artists to be announced soon! … there will be many opportunities to express yourself through ecstatic dance during the weekend.

🌎 Exploration spaces:

At every moment the campout will have multiple areas for you to experience. In addition to the main ecstatic dance areas, there will be multiple chill out spaces, a vendor area and a large ceremonial bonfire. We will have a sound relaxation immersion area, as well as a down tempo area where you can play contact improv or just hang out.

💫Workshops

Throughout each day there will be a range of workshops for you to explore, expand & enliven your soul. We will have a full range of experiences for all types of interests and people, including social dancing, authentic relating, plant walks, breath work and movement related activities. All these workshop topics and expertise comes right from our community. If you have an idea for something you’d like to offer, don’t hesitate to send us an application using the link below. ⛺️Sleeping Accommodations:

1. You can pitch a tent in the spot that attracts you the most. There will be both shaded and sunny locations. (this option IS included in your ticket purchase)

2. You may also bring a Camper Van or RV to sleep in. There is a nice area for you to congregate with other RVers. But no electric hookup so be prepared for being self-sufficient in your mobile home.

3. Cabins! If camping isn’t your thing, Resica falls has several cabins where you can sleep for an extra cost. These cabins are shared dormitory spaces. You are welcome to form a group of friends to stay with -- please coordinate with us via email so we can get the list organized. 🌃

🥙Food:

Do you want some delicious vegan//vegetarian food all weekend?There is an amazing option to purchase 5 catered meals for a weekend meal pass. We are only offering full meal options which include:Breakfast Friday, Dinner Friday, Breakfast Saturday, Dinner Saturday, Breakfast Sunday.Be sure to evaluate this add-on option when you purchase your ticket! We will also have food vendors on site with healthy, hearty meals, vibing elixirs and superfoods.

In addition to this, there will be some amazing food vendors on site including wood fired pizza, Jaya Kava, healthy vegetarian options, and energizing elixirs.

:: Things to be aware of::

👩‍👦Children:

-We welcome children to the Dance Medicine Campout however there will not be specific child care areas or activities specifically delegated for children, however they can participate in all the events.

-Children 15 years old and younger receive free entry !Meal plan is NOT included. Must be purchased sepately if you desire a meal pass for children.

📝Parameters:

We are hosting an alcohol and substance free event.It's a wonderful opportunity to experience the mystical effects of dance and genuine human connection with a clear mind and body. We also request that phones and cameras stay off the dance floor, as this is our sacred space.In this sober, connected and playful environment, it is more than a party. The Dance Medicine Campout is an opportunity to experience community in its aspirational form, where everyone is celebrated and supported as the unique beings that they are.
