An evening of moving freely to release and shake off the day, blissful through to calm.A space for people who are familiar with free-movement dance to move together through a specially curated Dance Free experience.
This series of monthly Friday night sessions over autumn/winter will be a blend of Somatic, Expressive, Ecstatic, Invocative and Elemental dance.
What to expect
* Cosy, dim-lit space, with a skylight ceiling and a wooden sprung floor to enjoy dancing under the stars in a warm space.
* Music will be playing on arrival - we’ll get straight into the dance!
* Themed facilitation during the dance journey - no pressure invitations to explore different ways of moving.
* Specially curated music journeys - full of unique rhythms to let go, shake off the week and feel alive.
* Music played through wireless headsets with crystal clear sound.
* Grounding at the end of dance to close in stillness.
* Super warm and friendly vibe.
* Freedom in dance! ✨🧡

Please book ONE ticket per headset.
It's recommended to attend as many sessions of this series as possible (if you can) to gain the full benefit of the journey of the themes. We'll be going on a journey together.
With some suggested at-home free-movement dance practices to try in-between sessions.
Guidelines for Dance Free events
* Be present in the moment
* Non-verbal space communicate with movement
* Keep moving as much or little as you feel
* Respect others mindful of other's space & freedom of expression
* Alcohol/drug free clear mind to embrace mindful movement
* Be free ~ Dance however you feel!
This event is only for people who have danced at Dance Free events before or other conscious dance practices such as ecstatic dance/movement medicine or similar.
All other Dance Free events are open to everyone whether it's first time or a regular.
Travel
We recommend car sharing or travelling by public transport, walking or cycling to our events where possible.

Free parking at Alford Market Place and South Street car parks in Alford.
