Amy Jordan has been studying West African Dance for over 20 years. She has had the honor of studying with master artists Sekou Sylla, Abdoulaye Sylla, Aly Tatchol Camara, Alioune “Pape” N’Diaye, and Sidi Mohamed Camara. While she has studied styles from Senegal and Mali, her main style is from Guinea, the styles of her first teachers. Amy is an Associate Professor of African American history at Hampshire College.
