About this Event
Dan Siegel’s Window of Tolerance describes the zone where we feel balanced, present, and able to respond to life effectively. When we’re inside this window, we can think clearly, regulate our emotions, and connect with ourselves and others.
At times, life pushes us outside of this window.
We may move into a state of
Hyperarousal - feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or on edge or into
Hypoarousal - feeling flat, disconnected, or shut down. These are natural nervous system responses, but many of us spend more time here than we realise.
This workshop explores how we can recognise where we are on that spectrum and, more importantly, how to gently guide ourselves back.
Through breathwork, simple yoga-based movement, and awareness practices, you’ll learn practical tools to regulate your nervous system in real time. From up regulating practices to down regulating practices dependant on your arousal state.
By building awareness of your internal state, your interoception, you begin to create more choice in how you respond, expanding your window of tolerance over time.
This is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and develop skills you can carry into everyday life.
Please bring a Yoga mat if you have one, if you don’t please let me know.
10% of all ticket sales will be going to a local charity of which I’ll announce once set up and again mention on the day of the workshop.
Chai and cake will be served after as always!
