I’m excited to be bringing a special night of live music to Mira Mira Castle on April 18th, and you’re warmly invited.
I’ve just returned from touring around Tasmania and Queensland, sharing music across the country, and it feels really special to now land here and offer my tunes in close proximity to my parents home (Neerim South).
This will be a soulful evening of original music—woven with didgeridoo, guitar, harmonica, and voice. My songs are inspired by nature, presence, and the journey of becoming—holding space for both the light and the shadow.
We have the huge pleasure of having the highly talented folk enigma, Jessie Monk sharing her avant-folk music. Her sound is reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, Sam Amidon or Anna Mieke while her lyrics are inspired by the likes of Rilke and Ovid. She weaves new stories with old threads, inspired by the Celtic and Appalachian folk traditions and more experimental mediums such as neu-musik and Butoh. You are in for a treat!
Mira Mira Castle feels like the perfect place to gather, and take in something inspiring and soul stirring, and connect through sound and story.
If you feel called to come along, I’d love to have you there
