UK-born pianistand composer, now NEW YORK based , DAN COSTA is bringing his globally acclaimed jazz to the UK with a new series of live performances. His award-winning music has been consideredentrancing (Downbeat Magazine), rare and luxurious (All About Jazz) and profound (Jazziz), blending virtuosity, accessibility, and cultural storytelling which reflect a deep engagementwith Modern Latin Jazz. He has recorded with artists such as Randy Brecker, Ron Carter, John Patitucci, Mike Stern, Bob Mintzer, Hermeto Pascoal, Dave Liebman, Ivan Lins, Seamus Blake, Dave Douglas, Romero Lubambo, Leila Pinheiro, Marcos Suzano, Jaques Morelenbaum and Roberto Menescal. He has released three studio albums – Suite Três Rios (2016), Skyness(2018) and Beams (2023) –, a live solo album – Live in California (2020) –, and two singles –Love Dance (2020) with Ivan Lins and Iremia (2022) with Ron Carter. For his upcoming UK dates, Costa will be joined by two British musicians: Rod Oughtondrums), a prolific bandleader and composer whose projects include Tomorrow’s New Quartet, Imperfect Bread, and OK Aurora. His music has been featured on Jazz FM and BBC Radio 3.
