„Soute à Bagages“/"Багажно отделение" е физически пътепис, маршрут на тялото в движение; движението променя геометрията на тялото. Какъв език и какви стратегии измисля тялото, когато е подложено на турбулентността на пътуването, на внезапно спиране, неочаквани спирки, падащи,плъзгащи се или срутващи се предмети, ударни вълни – между две скорости, между две места, между две времена, между себе си и другия? Тяло във всички ситуации, в дискомфорт или близост, което си извоюва пространство или се измъква.
Художествен директор на Dame de Pic, хореограф, изпълнител, Karine Ponties е създала петдесет танцови произведения за трупата, сред които „Every Direction Is North“ (наградена с Golden Mask за най-добро представление за съвременен танц в Русия), „Holeulone“( Prix de la Critique de la Communauté française de Belgique - Белгия) и „Brutalis“ (награда на SACD).
Творчеството ѝ се характеризира с усет към абсурда, изследване на интимността и преплитащите се взаимоотношения. Karine Ponties е родена във Франция. Нейното запознаване с танца започва с обучение й в Juan Tena и Ramon Soler dance schools в Барселона и продължава с дипломирането ѝ в „Мудра“ на Морис Бежар в Брюксел през 1986 г.
Тя е работила като изпълнителка в няколко трупи, сред които Frédéric Flamand, Michèle Noiret, Nicole Mossoux / Patrick Bonté и Pierre Droulers, освен че основава Dame de Pic / Cie Karine Ponties през 1995 г.
Soute à Bagages is a physical travel journal, an itinerary of the body in motion movement transforms the geometry of the body. What language and strategies does a body invent when subjected to the turbulence of travel, sudden braking, unexpected stops, things falling, sliding, or collapsing, shockwaves, between two speeds, between two places, between two times, between oneself and the other? A body in all situations, in discomfort or proximity, that carves out its space or extracts itself.
Artistic director of Dame de Pic, choreographer, performer, Karine Ponties has created fifty dance pieces for the company with among others Every Direction Is North (Awarded Golden Mask for the best contemporary dance performance in Russia), Holeulone ( Prix de la Critique de la Communauté française de Belgique - Belgium) and Brutalis (SACD Prize).
Her work is characterised by a flair for the absurd, exploring intimacy and interlacing relationships.
Karine Ponties was born in France. Her foray into dance began with studies at the Juan Tena and Ramon Soler dance schools in Barcelona, and culminated in her matriculation from Maurice Bejart’s Mudra school in Brussels in 1986.
She has worked as a performer with several companies, notably Frédéric Flamand, Michèle Noiret, Nicole Mossoux / Patrick Bonté and Pierre Droulers among others, in addition to founding Dame de Pic / Cie Karine Ponties in 1995.
