American Rivers (AR) will deliver this two-day Dam Removal Project Manager Training. AR has conducted more than 40 river restoration trainings over the past 20 years, assisting government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and municipalities in expanding their capacity to leverage dam removal as a tool in restoring rivers and smarter water infrastructure management.

Course topics include Dam Removal Planning and Project Implementation, Introduction to Managing a Dam Removal Project, Basics of Engineering and Construction Design, Permitting, and Community Engagement. The course will include a field trip to select projects in the greater Wilmington area.
