DICF SATURDAY NIGHT IMPROV
-Blue Text Bubbles
-Waiting for Stuff Man
-Bag of Dad
-Craigslist Playdate
Improv--> Blue Text Bubbles (Chicago, IL): Improv for the cyber age! Blue Text Bubbles is a queer comedy troupe from Chicago that made it out of the group chat. Exploring the way technology influences our relationships, we create entire worlds based on real digital messages audience members have sent & received. Dating app disasters, social media meet-ups, and LinkedIn love stories are all on the agenda, who wouldn’t like & subscribe? Starring Ajani George, Dylan Coakley, Jo Belangia, JR Riley, Lexi Putter, Maya Arroyo, Molly Olson, and Will Heitert.
One-Man Improv--> Waiting for Stuff Man (Jeremy Duchin, Baltimore, MD). It’s a bard! It’s a plain! No, hold on, it’s Waiting for Stuff Man! And he’s reserved a seat for you to see his improvised one-person show where he waits for something suggested by you, the audience.
Improv--> Bag of Dad (Dallas, TX): Hey bud, it’s your dad calling. Just wanted to check on ya. See how your car is doing. Heard about this improv team, wanted to tell you about it. Four pretty funny comedians - Kimber Martin, Lauren Oxford, Kent Wicklander, and Sarah Wyatt. It’s grounded, it’s wacky, it’s all made up on the spot - it’s “Bag of Dad”. Ok pal, gimme a call back when ya can. Love you! Starring Kent Wicklander, Kimber Martin, Lauren Oxford, and Sarah Wyatt.
Improv--> Craigslist Playdate (Chicago, IL): Craigslist Playdate has gone from crawling to walking the improv streets of Chicago. What started as a group of Improv 1 students at Second City has since become a close-knit group of friends that has been performing together for more than three years. In that time, they’ve appeared on stages at some of Chicago’s most legendary comedy institutions, including Second City, iO Theater, Bughouse Theater, The Den Theatre, the Cornservatory, ComedyPlex, Logan Square Improv, and more. Craigslist Playdate was named Chicago Reader's Best Sketch/Improv Troupe of 2024, and was recently nominated for Chicago Reader's Best Sketch/Improv Troupe of 2025 - cementing their place in the city’s rich comedy scene. Starring Brian Plotke, Caitlin Pierson, Emily O'Flynn, J.J. Painter, Kait Mitchell, Marissa Cunin-Alvarado, Sean Parsons, and Steve Batterman.
⭐ DICF is presented by Indie Lab Creative, a Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the city's creative and comedic community through connection, support, and opportunity.
