About this Event
Step into the holiday spirit with a guided tour of one of Dahlonega’s beautiful historic homes, elegantly decorated for Christmas. Built in 1881, carefully restored in 2016, and expanded with a charming addition in 2022, this home offers more than just festive décor, it’s a journey through time. During your guided tour you’ll not only admire the seasonal beauty, but also learn about the home’s rich history, its architecture, and the stories of the families who have lived here over the years.
- The tour will take about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes and will include the history of the home and its many inhabitants.
- Light refreshments will be served about half way through the tour.
- Guests will wear booties while touring this private home and will be asked to return the booties upon departing.
- Parent or legal guardian must accompany children under 18.
- The home has an elevator for those who prefer to not take the stairs.
- Limited parking is available at the home, but it is located in town, near plenty of city parking.
- No refunds… all proceeds benefit Jeremiah's Place.
NOTE: Tour times are limited to 12 guests each.
North Georgia Interfaith Ministries, dba Jeremiah’s Place, provides transitional housing and support services to homeless families in North Georgia. Our mission is to offer safety, stability, and hope as families work toward self-sufficiency. We prioritize case management, life skills, and mentoring. Our current challenge is the lack of affordable housing, making the transition to independence increasingly difficult.
The transitional housing program offers intensive, wraparound case management to homeless families. Each family sets personal goals & meets weekly with a case manager to track progress. Program goals include stable employment, saving 30% of income, applying for housing, reducing debt, engaging with a faith/community group, & contributing to shelter upkeep—empowering families toward long-term stability.
The goal is to empower homeless families to regain stability & independence. We provide more than just shelter—we offer a pathway to self-sufficiency. Through access to safe housing, nutritious food, & essential services, families can focus on what truly matters: building a better future.
