Dahlia Growing Workshop! 🌱
Have you wanted to enter the wonderful world of growing dahlias, but feel intimidated by their high maintenance care? This class is for you!
Alyssa from The House with the Flowers, will be at our shop to teach you how to successfully start dahlias from tubers, understand the difference between dahlia seeds and tubers, how to prevent rot during germination, how to care for them during the growing season, how to harvest them for cut flowers, and how to dig up, divide, and store tubers during the winter.
You'll also gain an understanding of the different types of dahlias, as well as receive a list of reputable dahlia growers.
At the end of the class, you'll get to try your hand at dividing a dahlia tuber clump, as well as pot up a tuber to take home with you and eventually transplant into your yard!
Come with questions, a notebook to take notes, and gardening gloves! All other supplies will be provided.
