ABOUT FALLENDOWN TREE
Fallendown Tree Vineyards has a beautiful story behind it. Jeanne and Mark Burmeister have been friends of our family for decades as certified financial planners across three generations.
In 2013, they realized their dream of acquiring land in Lockwood, CA, hoping to start a vineyard from scratch. It was their dream to retire on a small, beautiful vineyard. Little did they know of the hard work and persistent energy we would need to see their vision turn into reality.
With help from 25 family and friends, the first vines were planted in 2016. By 2021, the vineyard had been fully realized with Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Syrah, Petit Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, and Malvasia Bianca.
Over the years, they have been greatly blessed with so many helping hands. Mothers, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren and friends from all over the country, have shown up with sun hats, gloves and work boots to help with the farming.
Like D’Agostino’s, this is truly a family passion project. And that’s where we come in…
Over the summer as Chef Dan and Brandi’s restaurant expansion was underway, they toured through wine country and learned how costly and difficult it is for small independent wineries to get their wines out, especially out of state, and in any quantities that produce measurable growth.
At the grand relaunch of D’Agostino’s Trattoria in November, we welcomed Fallendown Tree as a featured guest at our opening events and they were a massive hit. It resulted in important recognition and articles such as Eve Bushman’s “Eve’s Wine & Spirits 101” From Our Terroir to Your Table” A One Bottle Post for Fallendown Tree Vineyards – Eve’s Wine and Spirits 101.
Brandi talked to Jeanne and Mark about those distribution challenges. And then made a phone call to her wine rep and longtime friend, Adem Sash at Cellar Craft Premier Beverage Distributors to ask a simple question… “Can we help?”
The answer was YES! They, too, had sampled these beautiful wines and agreed to host them and currently with dozens of cases FLYING out of inventory in all varietals, D’Agostino’s Trattoria is the exclusive venue for Fallendown Tree Wines in Nevada!
