Daffodil Day Returns to the Rialto Piazza
Melbourne’s iconic Rialto is inviting Victorians to come together and give hope this Daffodil Day, once again transforming its Collins Street plaza into a stunning floral display in support of Cancer Council Victoria’s annual appeal.
This year’s activation carries extra significance, as Rialto celebrates 40 years since opening in the same year the Daffodil Day Appeal marks its own 40th Anniversary.
From 19 – 20 August 2026, the precinct will once again bloom with over 35,000 vibrant daffodils, encouraging visitors to purchase a beautiful bunch in its own glass bottle, with every sale helping fund Cancer Council’s life-saving cancer research and support services.
Adding to this year’s experience, the renowned team behind LEGO artist The Brickman will be on site constructing a spectacular large-scale Daffodil LEGO installation live at Rialto Piazza across several days, giving Melburnians the rare opportunity to watch the build take shape before its official unveiling on Daffodil Day.
This family-friendly activation will transform the Rialto Piazza into a destination for all ages, with its stunning sea of 35,000 daffodils and impressive LEGO Daffodil installation creating the perfect photo opportunity.
The Rialto Daffodil Day activation will be open and selling daffodils in glass bottles for $15 and pins at $10 from 7:00am – 7:00pm or until sold out.
