All little about Robbe's Story,
In December, Robbe was struck by a plow truck while driving home, causing him to suffer a compound femur fracture, multiple broken ribs, and a lacerated spleen. He spent a week on a ventilator and underwent multiple surgeries, including procedures to repair his leg and address necrotic tissue. During one surgery, doctors discovered a Morel-Lavallée lesion, which caused a large, complex wound with extensive tissue tunneling.
Despite ongoing treatment and biweekly visits to a wound care center, the wound has not healed as expected, and additional treatment options are being explored. Because of his injuries and limited ability to stand for long periods, Robbe will be unable to work this year. The fundraiser is being held to help cover his continuing medical expenses as he navigates a long and challenging recovery.
Due to all of this intensive care, recovery, and unexpected medical treatments the medical bills have continued to pile up and with Robbe unable to work the family is left with mounting bills.
