D-RAD 2025 | Disability Rights Advocacy Day

Welcome to D-RAD 2025, Disability Rights Advocacy Day! Join us at the Colorado State Capitol for a day filled with empowerment, education, and advocacy for disability rights. This event is your chance to make your voice heard, connect with fellow advocates, and learn from inspiring speakers. Together, we can work towards creating a more inclusive and accessible society for all. Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of positive change. See you there!

FAQs:

• You may register as an individual or group (up to 10 participants).
• Be sure to click through the 2 pages and complete all registration quesions for each individual participant to ensure we have all the information we need.
• You do NOT need a paper ticket to attend the event...your registration here is all we'll need!
• If you plan to attend online, please be reminded that only activities that occur in the main event space will be available through the online platform. Online registrants will received login information as we get closer to the event.
• If you are attending in person, you will have the opportunity to be part of a meeting with your district legislators and/or their staff. To find your district's legislator's name, use Find My Legislator NOTE: If you would like be included in the D-RAD Planning Team's coordination of legislator meetings, you must be registered not later than February 20, 2025.
• We have limited funding for travel scholarships available to support self-advocates and their family's travel to D-RAD. Priority will be given to Coloradans who live more than 50 miles from the State Capitol. If you are a self-advocate, family member, or support for a self-advocate, and would like to be considered for a travel scholarship, your registration must be completed by February 20, 2025.
• Registered participants will receive a link to a pre-recorded information webinar 1-week prior to the event.

Agenda (we'll be sure to provide updates as we get closer to the event):

• 8am: A continental breakfast will be available for all registered participants who wish to arrive early
• 9am: Tributes will be read on the House and Senate Floor
• 9:30-11:30am: Meet with legislators and legislative staff, disability legislation and bill review, capitol tours, etc.
• 12noon: Press Conference with Disability Rights Legislative Champions
• 1pm to ???: Meetings with legislators and legislative staff, observe afternoon commitee meetings, take a Capitol tour, etc.
