Mae'r gweithdy hwn wedi'i anelu at bobl greadigol sydd naill ai'n llawrydd ar hyn o bryd neu yn mynd ar ei liwt ei hun am y tro cyntaf. Gall bod yn llawrydd fod yn frawychus, waeth beth fo'ch maes gwaith. Felly rydyn ni'n mynd trwy ffyrdd o drefnu eich hun, sut i fynd i'r afael â'r newidiadau mawr yn dod i fyny mewn adrodd treth, a digon o lwybrau byrrach fel y gallwch osgoi gwastraffu eich amser gwerthfawr.

Mae'r meysydd a gwmpesir yn cynnwys:

• Pam mae hunangyflogaeth yn wahanol i gyflogaeth

• y gwahaniaethau rhwng unig fasnachwr a chwmni cyfyngedig

• gwahanu eich cyllid personol a busnes

• Beth yw Treth ac Yswiriant Gwladol

• cofnodion y mae angen i chi eu cadw (tra'n cadw'n iach)

Bydd yn ddiwrnod rhyngweithiol, gyda rhai ymarferion ymarferol a hyd yn oed cwis treth hwyliog.

Byddwch yn cael digon o dempledi a lawrlwythiadau ac mae popeth ar-lein i chi mynediad ar unrhyw adeg ar ôl y sesiwn.

Thursday 8th January 2026, 10am-5pm

This workshop is aimed at creative people who are either currently freelance or are going freelance for the first time. Being freelance can be daunting, regardless of your area of work. So we go through ways to organise yourself, how to get to grips with the big changes coming up in tax reporting, and plenty of short cuts so that you can avoid wasting your valuable time.

Areas covered include:

• why self-employment is different from employment

• the differences between a sole trader and a limited company

• separating out your personal and business finances

• what is tax and national insurance

• records you need to keep (while keeping sane)

• digital record keeping and the new HMRC requirements for sole traders

• invoicing and chasing late payments

• understanding your market

• motivating yourself

• how to balance freelance work with your physical and mental wellbeing

It will be an interactive day, with some practical exercises and even a fun tax

quiz. You'll get plenty of templates and downloads and everything's online for you to

access at any point after the session.

David has been running his training business for more than 20 years, helping creative freelancers all over the UK to be more organised and business-like. He specialises in finance and networking skills training, and loves working with people who would rather hide under the duvet than open a spreadsheet. He also specialises in workshops that help creative people who are setting up as self-employment for the first time. David has a background in broadcasting, having worked at the BBC for 22 years. He helped set up two local radio stations, produced current affairs output at the World Service and ran the department producing English language teaching on radio, TV and online.

Cancellation and Refunds Policy

A full refund will be issued to delegates who cancel at least 2 weeks prior to the event. Delegates who cancel within the 2 week period will not be eligible for a refund unless we are able to find someone else to take their place. Please let us know as soon as possible if you find you're no longer able to attend the workshop.
