Time: 10 am for ride start at 10.30 am
Duration: We will ride about 30 km in a loop from St Heliers on shared paths, cycleways and quiet roads.
This month we are looking to take in the sights of Mount Wellington and Stonefields.
As usual, join us for a refreshment prior to the ride or just turn up for a pre-ride chat. We will finish with lunch at La Vista Cafe.
Who will this ride suit? Like our last ride, this is slightly longer at about 30 km. There are some hills. Those with good muscle bike fitness, or an ebike will enjoy this ride. We will ride at a modest pace that doesn't leave anyone behind. We will use "sweepers" on corners, as introduced last ride, to ensure as much continuity of riding as possible.
Bike Parking: There is limited footpath space outside the cafe so please be careful where you place your bike. I will be across the road on the green verge (there is plenty of room there and bikes can be seen from across the road). Feel free to lock to me.
Car Parking: If you are travelling by car to the ride, please park on the village fringe where there are no time restrictions. Leave the restricted parking for short stay shoppers. Vale Road still has some work going on. I understand the north side of Vellenoweth Green usually has space.
Future rides: We ride from St Heliers every second Monday of the month. Check details as ride start location may change within the village area.
