In this workshop, attendees will learn the basics of the alternative/historical photographic process of cyanotype printing. Dating back to the mid 1800’s, cyanotype is the process behind the term ‘blue print’ and is famed for its shades of blues on, traditionally, a white surface.Date: Saturday, October 5th – 2024
Time: 9:00 – 12:30 ( 3.5 hours)

What you will learn:
Attendees will learn the alternative and historical photographic printing process of cyanotype. Dating back to the mid 1800’s,cyanotypes are famed for their distinctive blue shades with the process also being the origin behind the term “blueprint”. Attendees will learn how to coat, develop and rinse prints. They will be given the opportunity to practice on fine art paper before creating final prints on fabric.
