💬 This year’s theme is “Rooted in Peace, Blooming with Purpose”. It reminds us that when we are grounded in the peace that surpasses all understanding, we are able to bloom into God’s intended purpose for our lives. Philippians 4:7 anchors us in His calming presence, and Jeremiah 29:11 reveals His plans to prosper and guide us. When our roots rest in Him, our growth becomes intentional, fruitful, and divinely directed. When we are rooted in God’s peace, we are strengthened to bloom boldly into His purpose.

Keynote Speaker, Sister Lesa Willis from the Greenville Avenue Church of Christ, in Richardson, TX
Lesa Willis is a dynamic and adventurous Christian woman, devoted wife, and mother, deeply committed to serving others. Her journey has been rich with diverse experiences, from working as a Bicycle Messenger in the heart of the Nation’s Capital to serving as a Network Design Engineer and Manager. She has also taught English in the Dallas Independent School District and led a nonprofit dedicated to providing transitional housing for the homeless. In 2024, she founded Premier Professional Development & Training LLC, aiming to enhance teachers’ skills. Guided by her faith, she has embraced these opportunities, ultimately leading to the establishment of Lesa Willis Ministries.
One of Lesa’s most cherished achievements is her service in the United States Navy, where she was baptized while stationed in Washington, D.C. This pivotal moment set her on a path fueled by the Holy Spirit and the freedoms bestowed upon her. Lesa is an active member of the Church of Christ in Richardson, Texas, where she participates in ministries related to the Ladies Wednesday Night Bible Class and the Annual Adolescent and Ladies Symposium. Psalm 139 resonates deeply with her, symbolizing God’s love, protection, and grace, which inspire her mission to empower women through Lesa Willis Ministries. With divine guidance, she believes that all things are possible.
She shares a joyful life with her husband, Joel Willis, and together they share in the parenting of ‘50’11em’ children and five grandsons.
Inspirational Speaker, Genny Moore, from Crenshaw COC, in Los Angeles, CA.
The most important thing that can be said about Genny is that she is God’s woman striving daily to make heaven her home. Born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She moved to Los Angeles to attend college and is a graduate of California State University Dominguez Hills with a degree in Communication.
She has been married for 28 years to Tyson Moore, Senior Minister of the Crenshaw Church of Christ. They serve locally and nationally. They are the proud parents of three wonderful children, sons, Isaiah 24 and Nehemiah 17 and daughter Micaiah 20.
Professionally, she is the Office Manager of the Humanities and Teacher Education Division at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She has been with the university for 25 years and loves serving the students and faculty alike.
Self-described as everybody’s cheerleader. She will have you laughing when you think you should be crying. She is a natural encourager because life is too short to be down in the dumps ALL the time and GOD is too good for that kind of thinking
Youth Speaker, Lauryn Merriweather from Compton Ave COC, in Los Angeles, CA
I am excited and honored to serve as this year’s Youth Speaker for the Christian Women Seminar! After spending five years in San Diego, the 61st Street and Division Street Church of Christ became family to me.
