About this Event
Join the commonwealth War Graves Commission for a free tour of East Retford Cemetery, led by one of our experienced volunteer tour guides.

Hear about a World War One military medal winner and a World War Two Battle of Britain pilot, just two of the interesting stories about the people buried here.
The cemetery contains 14 Commonwealth war graves from the First World War, and 16 from the Second World War and there is also 1 Polish soldier buried here.
The tour lasts approx. 75 mins and covers about 1600 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground. There is wheelchair access.
There is limited parking available and on-site facilites and toilets (not open at weekends), please bring water if required.
Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are allowed in the cemetery.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
