Save the date!
Join us on October 4th, 2025, as we stock lake sturgeon in the Cuyahoga River. A public stocking event will be hosted by Cleveland Metroparks at Rivergate Park at 1:00pm as part of the Cuyahoga River Lake Sturgeon Reintroduction Partnership.
Fertilized sturgeon eggs are being hatched now to raise the 1,500 juvenile lake sturgeon that will be stocked this fall. Partners will have project information and activities, and you may be able to release one of these fish yourself. Come enjoy this monumental milestone in the recovery of the Cuyahoga River.
Sturgeon will also be released by partners at Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Summit Metro Parks.
