Cutting Edge Knife Sharpening

The Cutting Edge Knife Sharpening Workshop, presented by Lee Thelen, takes place on November 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Clavers Companions Inc., 401 W Main St., Ionia. For $10 per person, attendees will learn safe knife handling, how to inspect and choose tools, proper sharpening angles, how to create a sharp edge, and daily honing techniques. The workshop is designed for home cooks, outdoor enthusiasts, makers, tradespeople, gardeners, and anyone interested in maintaining sharp tools. Participants should bring one or two blunt kitchen knives; sharpening stones, supplies, and expert guidance are provided. Attendees must be at least 15, and minors must have a parent or guardian present.
