About this Event
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is designed for Black, Indigenous, women of colour, and immigrant entrepreneurs in their businesses' ideation or early growth phases. Whether starting or looking to refine your business model, this session will provide essential tools and insights.
Eligibility
We welcome BIPOC women entrepreneurs, including those with disabilities, Indigenous women, women from rural or remote areas, recent immigrants, visible minority women, and those who identify as two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. We also encourage women from Official Language Minority Communities (OLMCs) to apply. Ideally, you’re a co-founder or co-owner of a startup business in Canada. No previous experience in customer discovery is needed!
What to expect
- You will be guided through the customer discovery process;
- Build strategies that you can apply to your business;
- Have a clear roadmap on how to engage your customers.
What you will learn:
- The importance of customer discovery in the entrepreneurial process.
- How to create and use a customer persona.
- How to develop strategies for conducting interviews and surveys to gather actionable insights.
- How to identify pain points, needs, and preferences of potential customers.
- How to refine business ideas and value propositions based on real-world customer feedback.
