Join us as we celebrate Curtis Lumber’s 16th Annual Pet-A-Palooza Pet Adoption Day, a purr-fect opportunity to meet your new furry best friend! The event takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Curtis Lumber in Ballston Spa, NY, located at 885 State Route 67, just off Northway Exit 12.Pet-A-Palooza marks 16 years of bringing people and pets together, all in support of finding loving homes for animals in need. More than 35 local shelters and rescue groups will be on site with adoptable cats, dogs, bunnies, and more, each hoping to find their forever family.
Even if you are not looking to adopt, there is plenty to enjoy. Local veterinarians, groomers, trainers, pet sitters, and pet treat makers will be attending and offering special discounts on their services. It is a great chance to learn more about pet care and connect with trusted local pet professionals.
Please note that the types and breeds of animals available cannot be confirmed until the day of the event. Friendly pets are welcome to attend with you. For everyone’s safety, all pets must be on a standard leash. Retractable leashes are not permitted.
The day is packed with fun for the whole family, including complimentary face painting by Miss Stacey’s Faces, animal balloon twisting by Balloon Gal Jenny, pet caricatures by Rich Conley, and live music by Jim McArdle. Steve Caporizzo and the WTEN Pet Connection will also be joining us, and a variety of food trucks will be on site with great options throughout the day.
Last year, Pet-A-Palooza helped more than 250 pets find loving homes. With your help, we hope to make an even bigger impact this year.
