Over the course of her 20+ year tenure as a freelance educator, 2nd Story’s Artistic Director, Amanda Delheimer, has developed multiple strategies for curriculum planning and development, no matter the content. In this 4-hour workshop, 2nd Story will guide participants through our pedagogical underpinnings when thinking through and writing curriculum, from initial conception through final execution of the program. This will include: (a)identifying a goal for the class; (b) scaffolding lessons to achieve that goal
considering the needs of the audience, space, and logistics, among other factors; and (c) planning various courses from a single lesson to a multi-session series.
