About this Event
Curious Arts Youth Groups present an exhibition Art for Newcastle Pride 2026
Kicking off with a live performance from Ghetto Fabulous, bringing Glamour, Glitz and Grace in a fabulous celebration of self-expression. Four performers go head to head in a dance, fashion and lip sync competition in an interactive event where the audience decides the winner.
Curious Young Creatives will then present the exhibiton, featuring Sunderland's Young Creatives' Poetry Zine (with original poetry and artworks), Newcastle Young Creatives' Proud Patchwork jacket, (a collaborative artwork that explores LGBTQIA+ Identity and presentation through a costume item made to dazzle) and Middlesbrough Young Creatives' Dungeons and Dragons Diorama (an original game with character creation and a step by step game play provided).
The exhibition will feature a relaxed space from the excitement of Pride, as well as enriching art work submitted by young creatives from across the North East, refreshments and craft workshops.
Finishing with a heartfelt family LGBTQIA+ Vigil to honour those lives of our community lost and the struggles fought throughout history and concert by Curious Youth Music's band, The Breadstick Gods, to close the event.

EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY - If you are an artist aged 11 - 21 then you have the opportunity to submit your work to be exhibited!

Booking is not required for the general public as this is an safe, open and welcoming Pride event.
This event will have a photographer/videographer documenting the event. We will have a check in desk at the event where you can get a 'DONT PHOTOGRAPH ME' sticker so you will not be included in any of our marketing materials.
