Curious Arts: Out & Loud! Exhibition

Curious Young Creatives present an exhibition of arts and performance taking place in Middlesbrough Town Hall, Old Fire Station!

With Sunderland and Newcastle Curious Young Creatives showcasing a short film premier, a collaborative film that explores what it means to find voice, hope and safety in an inclusive space, using stop-motion animation and performers from the groups. Created with participants, experts on film, animation and performance, this Premier is an exciting and important work about what it's like today to be a young LGBTQIA+ navigating the world.

Middlesbrough Curious Young Creatives group will be showcasing the drag persona 'Ma-Brie Antoinette', created by the group and workshopped with Drag Queen, Sweet Boy who will model the ensemble created and perform for the Out & Loud! audience to 'Killer Queen', the song that inspired the group in this process.

Newcastle Youth Music are very proud to launch their studio recorded EP, 'Curiosity Killed The Cat' with two original songs and one cover that is guaranteed to inspire their audience, with a special performance of the EP live!

Curious Arts are so proud to present all of the high quality work that has been created in the last four months by our creatively talented young participants and as well as fun activities, snacks and drinks available for everyone on the day - it is guaranteed to be an afternoon of inclusive joy!

SO, if you are passionate about Queer identity and supporting young artists or know someone who would love to take part, please do come along and enjoy the exhibition that aims to platform young, LGBTQIA+ voices through creative learning.

This event will have a photographer/videographer documenting the event. We will have a check in desk at the event where you can get a 'DONT PHOTOGRAPH ME' sticker so you will not be included in any of our marketing materials.
