🔎 CALLING ALL CURIOUS MINDS AND SKILL-SHARERS! 💡
The Giles County Public Library is looking for presenters for our first-ever Curiosity Convention on Saturday, February 20, 2027, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM!
Do you have a special skill, hobby, or area of expertise you’d love to share? We’re looking for people willing to host a How-To Station featuring a brief, engaging 10–15-minute demonstration or mini-presentation that can be repeated throughout the two-hour event as visitors stop by to watch, ask questions, and learn something new.
✨ What could you share? Here are a few ideas!
🧶 Creative Skills: Sewing, crochet, marbling, scrapbooking, and other crafts
🌱 Everyday Know-How: Gardening, basic home skills, reading blueprints, and useful tips and tricks
🚒 Safety & Preparedness: Fire safety, emergency preparedness, first aid awareness, and home safety
🚔 Law Enforcement: Personal safety, crime prevention, 911 awareness, online safety, and how local law enforcement serves our community
🏛️ City Services & Local Government: How city departments work, public works, water services, emergency planning, and behind-the-scenes insights into keeping our community running
These are just a few possibilities! We want to showcase the amazing knowledge, talents, and services found right here in our community.
You don’t have to be a professional instructor—just have something you’d enjoy sharing with others!
