About this Event
From ephemeral letterbox flyers to rare tomes from centuries past, the Library collects a multitude of formats! Each year it adds approximately 57,000 published items to the collection, with a focus on documenting life in NSW and Australia.
Join curators Alice Tonkinson and Sarah Morley for an evening of newly acquired published delights, including private press books, mid-century travel posters, ephemera and twentieth-century first editions.
Sarah Morley is the Coordinator of Published Collections at the State Library of NSW. She has worked extensively with the Library’s archival and printed collections. Focusing on manuscripts, rare books and children’s literature, Sarah’s work encompasses collection acquisition, access, promotion and interpretation. She has curated numerous exhibitions and displays for the Library, most recently .
Alice Tonkinson is a librarian in the Collection Acquisition & Curation branch. With a background in history and museum and heritage studies, Alice has worked extensively with the Library’s maps, ephemera and posters collections.
