Curated Cuisine: A taste of New England fair food
About this Event
Curated Cuisine is a monthly series examining all things edible, from the chefs cooking the food to the writers reviewing the recipes. Meet the people shaping the food industry, both local and national and enjoy a post-show bite inspired by the conversation.
As fall approaches, the New England fair season kicks into high gear. From The Big E to The Topsfield Fair to King Richard’s Faire, crowds flock to the fairgrounds for the rides, livestock competitions, giant pumpkins — and, of course, the food. Think stuffed baked potatoes, Thanksgiving sandwiches, corn dogs, fried dough, and other iconic favorites.
We're bringing some of the region's beloved fair food vendors to CitySpace to share the stories behind the snacks that inspire long lines and devoted fans. Former WBUR midday host Jack Lepiarz — better known to many as Jacques Ze Whipper and no stranger to fair life — will moderate the conversation.
