About this Event

Join us at The Betsy as part of “From Venice with Love,” join us for a curated conversation tracing the cultural through-lines of Miami’s Haitian art legacy—its roots, its evolving visual language, and the artists and thinkers shaping what comes next. Hosted by Rebecca Friedman, the program brings together a dynamic panel anchored by master contemporary artist Edouard Duval-Carrié. Invited panelists include Alexia Vorbe, Haitian-born writer, researcher, and curator known for critical analysis of Caribbean art and visual culture, and Dudley Alexis, independent filmmaker and visual artist whose work explores history, voice, and the power of thought through a distinctly multicultural lens. Produced in partnership between The Betsy Writers Room and FIU’s Public Humanities Lab, with support from Pérez CreARTE

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
