Whatβs all the buzz about pollinators? Come find out on August 23rd as we spend some time in the Cupola House gardens studying pollinator plants, interactions and health for the Great Southeast Pollinator Census! ππ¦The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is an annual citizen science project where people across the Southeast count and record pollinator activity in their gardens, parks, and communities. This fun, family-friendly event helps scientists track pollinator populations, raises awareness about the importance of these vital creatures, and encourages planting pollinator-friendly spaces. Every count makes a difference!
How does it work? Simply show up, grab a counting sheet, choose your favorite pollinator plant in the Cupola House Gardens and spend 15 minutes counting the pollinator interactions. Afterwards, turn in your sheet and enjoy some of the other offerings of this event including a scavenger hunt, pollinator story time, Ask a Master Gardener and more.
NC Cooperative Extension is an equal opportunity provider.
