Cumbria Community Transport Conference (HYBRID Event)

Through talks from different community transport groups and specialists in this field, as well as practical workshops, the Community Transport Conference will offer the chance to:

• Share learning,
• Develop your community transport ideas,
• Envisage the future of community transport in Cumbria,
• Demonstrate what is possible to achieve with community transport.

Attendees can expect an informal and welcoming day featuring a morning of inspiring talks from community transport initiatives and experts across the country, followed by an afternoon of practical workshops to help you develop your ideas and discuss the future of community transport in Cumbria.

Key details

• The Cumbria Community Transport Conference has been organised by Sustainable and Integrated Transport For Ullswater (SITU) and is supported by ACTion with Communities in Cumbria (ACT) and the Royal Countryside Fund (RCF).
• The conference will take place on 10th March 2026 10-4pm. Registration will open at 9.30am.
• The event will be held at, Ullswater. An online joining option will be available for those who indicate this as a preference when booking.
• We are encouraging members of community groups/community transport initiatives to attend in-person and spaces will be prioritised for these groups on a first-come, first-served basis at a suggested limit of 2 spaces per community group. Other in-person places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
• Free parking is available at the venue.
• Food and refreshments will be provided on the day for all in-person attendees.
• 1/2 price accommodation is available for all in-person delegates at the Quiet Site.
• Ahead of the event, all community groups/community transport initiatives will be asked to provide details on their transport initiatives as they currently stand. We will then produce a poster on your behalf to help support the afternoon workshops and activities.
