About this Event

We are inviting trusts, funders, cultural institutions, higher education providers and brokers together to explore how we can leverage the role of trusts can play in securing more equitable access to arts and cultural education.

All children deserve access to enriching, high-quality cultural education with the curriculum and in enrichment. A group of schools working together in a trust have a much greater potential to unlock great breadth and depth within and beyond the curriculum and provide the capacity to manage external partnerships. We believe when utilised effectively, a trust model can lead to greater variety, equity and quality of provision whilst still supporting school's individual needs.

The areas we will cover are outlined below, but to ensure a truly collaborative event, we would like your input to help shape the day. We will be holding optional pre-event meetings online in September to gather ideas. If you'd like to attend, please indicate your preferred date when registering.

At the event, we will explore:

• What does existing great practice look like – what are the essential elements that make it a success?
• Views from the other side of the partnerships- can we bust some myths about establishing and developing relationships with trusts?

• What is the best version of this ecosystem (within existing constraints)?

• What enabling changes might we need to policy, practice and funding to increase our impact and create a system that benefits many more/ all children?

A successful day of working together will result in

• The co-creation of a narrative explaining the role trusts can play in delivering cultural education.
• A clear understanding of the changes needed from government or external stakeholders to better enable this work to happen.

Come prepared to share your work, contribute your ideas, and collaborate with others. All sessions will be interactive and workshop-based, with plenty of opportunities for discussion and participation.
