Join us at Wye Marsh for a morning filled with Anishinaabe cultural songs, and knowledge sharing, hosted by Troy and Calley Monague. Learn the significance of the shaker, how it plays an integral part of all ceremonies, and how it represents the first sounds of creation!

Troy Monague is a Traditional Healing Coordinator at Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin Primary Care Team And Calley Monague is a First Nation, Metis & Inuit Doula with a Therapeutic Recreation Degree from Seneca College

About Wye Marsh:

Friends of Wye Marsh is a not-for-profit charitable organization taking care of 3,000 acres of provincially significant wetlands and federal forests in the Heart of Georgian Bay. This National Wildlife Area and recognized Important Bird Area (IBA) provides habitat for a number of significant species including provincially Threatened Least Bitterns, Species of Special Concern Black Terns, and the famous Trumpeter Swans
