About this Event

Join the Worcester Center for Crafts for an Artist Talk with Paula Gulbicki on Saturday, September 19 from 1–2 PM, presented in conjunction with Cultural Patchworks | An Exhibit of International Folk Art.

Gulbicki will share the inspiration and stories behind Cultural Patchworks, an exhibition featuring 30 unique wall hangings created from textiles, garments, and accessories she has collected over more than 50 years.

Drawing from traditions across North, Central, and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific, each work combines elements from multiple cultures to explore connection, craftsmanship, and shared cultural heritage.

A Worcester native, Gulbicki studied at Pratt Institute and earned a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from Framingham State University. She also led the fashion program at Middlesex Community College for 32 years.
