Malmö Dance Week and Malmö Konstmuseum team up and host a day focusing on how to handle the ongoing cultural crisis through dance, lectures and therapy.
Two dance artists; Sonya Lindfors and Malmö-based Slowz are in the midst of creating their new dance works. They will share their process with us both by dancing and by talking about it.
Sonya Lindfors will also hold a lecture workshop that deals with: fictions and friction, speculative practices and why intersectionality is so f***ing hard! Let's talk about the ghosts that haunt our stages and the power of the stage as a miracle machine!
Dance in Times of Crises is the name of the panel talk about Making an impact – the role of art and dance in times of crises. How can dance and choreography make a real impact in society? Why dance / make art? How do we create art when far-right oppression is growing stronger?
We wrap up the evening with a Culture Crisis Therapy Session with useful tips and methods on how to mentally survive a culture crisis.
