This training course provides participants with a broad view of Goldfields Aboriginal culture and history. It also covers contemporary life, social matters, theories and frameworks for addressing personal cultural competency. The final section of the course looks at the skills, attitudes and knowledge that a culturally competent person should exhibit. The course is a very full day with discussions, games and films.Participants should have a good cultural awareness prior to undertaking the course. This course builds on that understanding by addressing personal cultural competency.
Cost includes the CCT manual, all course material, morning tea and lunch. $250 inc GST per person.
The course starts 8:30am sharp and finishes 4:00pm.
Come immerse yourself for the day and leave with a depth of understanding and terrific strategies and theories for working as a culturally competent individual.
