Cultural Awareness Training Session
Join Trish Nadjiwon Meekins—an Anishnaabe woman from Chippewas of Nawash, also known as Neyaashiinigmiing and a member of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation—for a powerful and insightful cultural awareness training session rooted in Indigenous knowledge and practice.
Presenter Biography
Trish Nadjiwon Meekins has been a therapist and a teacher of First Nations history for over 30 years and currently has a private practice in downtown Owen Sound. Trish holds a master’s in social work, based in the Indigenous Field of Knowledge from Wilfrid Laurier University. As a ‘wholistic’ practitioner, with a focus on the spirit coming first, Trish works with organizations and people, from all walks of life. Trish has fine-tuned her skills in assisting people with finding their true path in life, using a variety of traditional and wholistic methodologies. More recently, Trish and her husband, opened a retail store called, All My Relations Gift Shop. This gift shop is about providing people with gifts of and for healing.
