Brought to you by your Cultura hosts - the Livingston Diversity Council & the Livingston Arts Council, Cultura Connects is a new series celebrating the rich traditions, flavors, and stories behind the cultures featured at Cultura. Each of these intentionally curated, culturally immersive experiences will invite you to engage all of your senses through food, movement and art.These incredible opportunities will be offered three times per year, each program centering on a different culture, allowing participants to connect, learn and appreciate our global community.
Our first stop in 2026 lands us in India where participants will celebrate the vibrant culture of India! Enjoy flavorful Indian cuisine, learn energetic Bollywood-style dance moves, and create your own Diya bowl - a traditional lamp used during holidays like Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
This immersive, hands-on event invites you to taste, move, and create while exploring the traditions and artistry that shape Indian culture.
Our authentic tasting menu will be provided by AGs Authentic Indian Cuisine in Brighton and will include traditional selections that fall into the lighter spice palette:
Garlic Naan
Butter Chicken
Paneer Tikka Masala (vegetarian)
Basmati Rice
A selection of chutneys
All ages and experience levels are welcome!
