About this Event
For this workshop we will start with a Loving Kindness Meditation (also called Metta meditation) where you will cultivate unconditional compassion for yourself and others by silently repeat phrases of well wishes for happiness, health, safety and freedom from suffering. After LKM we will move deeper into the body with a full Body Scan by bringing non-judgmental awareness to physical sensations. This allows you to become more present in your body, strengthening the mind-body connection. Completing our time together you will be immersed in a Reiki infused Sound Bath. Allow the frequencies and vibrations of various instruments and voice to transport you to another world. Release any last bit of tension and stress that the body might be holding onto. Come home to your true Self with more compassion and tenderness. Leave our time together feeling lighter and more connected to yourself and others.
Of note: There will not be a movement portion to this workshop. Please wear comfortable clothes, dressing in layers, as it can get cold in the studio. Blankets, bolsters and any other props are available for use at the studio. If you would like, please bring an item to place on the altar.
